Finally got rid of the Apple iBook G3 and Lisa's old Toshiba. I replaced both with an older IBM Thinkpad T23. Craigslist.org rules!!! It will take over the job that the iBook so poorly performed on, and with upgraded memory, it runs Zenwalk 4.4 like a greased landing.

Added a banner for sheldrickrafting.com since this domain is now fully operational. I have installed a WordPress 2.1 blog and hopefully it will serve its purpose to inform all our friends about our rafting trips. Also added a quicklink to the blog next to the GeoCaching linker.

This is a Hewlett Packard dv6125se. It is our new computer, a new member of the family. I still haven't come up with a name for it yet (I name all my computers and vehicles). This also means that I get Lisa's old computer. It's proving to be a suitable replacement for the iBook that died on me last month.

Uploaded the source code for some of my school work. I decided to use a different host for the Flight Patterns video, so that more people can watch it. And I finally added a video page, linked to the main nav bar, that bookmarks all my favorite internet videos to date, the fact that they're all youtube.com videos notwithstanding. ;)

Added our own hearingart.com as an affiliate. The video in the front page requires Flash 9, but I thought it was interesting enough to warrant being put there. This means that people with an older Flash plugin will not be able to view it, and it includes myself, because the Flash 9 beta plugin that Adobe released last month for Linux doesn't seem all that stable yet. I will be sticking with Flash 7 until all the bugs have been worked out of the new version.

Added a java app to the cow at the top, and it will moo! audibly when you click on it. :) Also added a cow icon to the browser link shortcut icon. The feature is part of the <link> tag in the header section, but it seems undocumented. My iBook's picture has been uploaded as well; find it here, or see a preview below.

More improvements to the site overall, plus a video section in the front page. Whatever triggered this sudden burst of improvements for the site seems to still be running hot, so I'm gonna let it keep burning. :)

We finally bought a house! Pics to come soon ... hopefully. And I finally fixed the Gallery links so that all the pictures from Sea Otter and others are now visible.

So Lisa took me on a hike for my 27th birthday. We went to Mitchell Canyon in the Mt Diablo State Park just around the corner from where we live. We had originally planned on going to Point Reyes for a day-long hike there, but some friends changed their minds (aka flaked), so we decided to try something closer to home. We weren't disappointed! Pics here.

Updated Gallery with more pics. And I'd like to take a moment and plug my mp3 player ... it's the most versatile piece of storage I've ever used! Not fancy like iPods, but functional and practical. Reason being, it triples as a flash drive and FM receiver. I get to listen to the radio at work, while taking files and documents in between work, home and school. It's great! Get it here.

to complete the project from scratch, I think it came out decent. It's
not the flashiest site around, and it wasn't meant to be, but I believe
it will do its job for the moment. Launch date is tomorrow, so we're
ahead of schedule. I'd like to thank Masato
and Eva for their help.
